Hi everyone! 

Time has been flying by and we’ve been doing so well. We had a flurry of visitors come and go, I have to say… it’s so nice to see familiar faces from the states. 

I was surprised to see how many of our visitors read my blog. I know that I gave them my blog in a giant mass email, incase they ever wanted to know what is going on in our lives… I sometimes forget that I write personal things on my blog: infertility, surgery, my adjustment to life here and so on. So when friends bring it up, I’m always surprised that they know what’s going on in my life without really talking to me. 

Last night we saw our friends Mindy, Eric and his cousin Benjamin for dinner. M & E flew into Shanghai just for the night and Eric has been a friend of the husband’s since they were 6! It meant a lot when they asked how my recovery went after my surgery, how I am healthy wise now. We talked about it openly and it was refreshing to talked to loved ones about it. 

I have a lot of friends check on me recently, which has been SO nice. We use messaging apps like what’s app, we chat and kakao talk. Every day a couple friends ping me to see how I’m doing and that they miss me. That’s SO NICE. I miss them a lot. I’m especially impressed with my friends with newborns and babies and they still find time to keep in contact with me. I’m feeling the love these days.

I’m getting comfortable speaking Chinese again and have been not as scared. The general response has been good… even the guy who delivers our water (who’s usually the crankiest person I have ever met) said my Chinese improved and he smiled! AHHH! He SMILED. It was like angels singing… this guy is usually SO grumpy!

And if this entry couldn’t get random enough… We’ve been watching Friends again and I forgot how funny it is!  

Is there an old TV series you guys loved? After we’re finished with Friends I want to start another series. I’m looking for something funny.
