These are the moments

reading

This will be our second Christmas in Shanghai and at first I was a bit bummed. No family, no presents (we agreed that saving money for our son is essential right now) and the hubs was supposed to work Christmas day. Ha. Total bummer for me.

Then, it kind of worked out because the schedule got changed and the hubs is off Christmas day! I want him to be home on the holidays more than anything. My favorite times with him are the ones where we are just together. Doesn’t have to be anywhere fancy, nice or fun. At home is more than fine by me.

This morning, the hubs (as he often does), takes one of our Dr. Seuss books and has me sit next to him. Put my legs on top of his, he rubs my belly and starts reading to my pregnant belly. The book makes me giggle but my heart was filled with so much love. This man, my husband is your father Boram. He loves you so much, you’re not even out yet.

And then I thought, no family? No. Now we have a family. The three of us, we are one family now and will be forever. These are the moments I will cherish forever.

In such a thankful mood today… <3

Aww this post and picture melt my heart. I think there is nothing sweeter than a family of three – you, your partner in life and in parenthood, and your little guy =) that’s all you’ll ever need. xoxoxo

p.s. Cousin Tyler requests that you read Goodnight Moon to Owl- it’s one of his favorites =)
