Swaddle Time mixed with Crochet!

20130116-190513.jpg

We received so many beautiful Aden and Anais blankets from friends. We have 12! LOL They are by far the mommy favorites amongst our friends and therefore we received so many. We received some other A&A things as well, hopefully Boram will like it!

We spent the other night, learning to swaddle. We used my Hello Kitty dolls to practice swaddling and although the dolls are a lot bigger than an infant, I think we did well.

The hubs shows off his proud swaddle. He seriously cracks me up, he was showing me different ways to hush a baby and swinging the doll back and forth. It’s so nice that we spend every day giggling, making each other laugh. I have to say, I’m very blessed in those regards.

Here’s my swaddle! Excuse my pjs, it’s the most comfortable clothes ever at home. Don’t you love all my crocheted dolls in the background? I think our son has plenty of toys to play with.

Remember how I say that we make each other laugh? Well… the hubs always asks me to swaddle him or buy him an adult onesie. I took this opportunity to swaddle him with two blankets. I wrapped him so tight, he couldn’t get out! He actually said it was quite comfortable. Maybe I’ll swaddle him in his sleep. ;-)

I’ve been working on SOOOOOOOO many crochet projects that I’m exhausted. I finished a project for my friend in Australia and I made her baby girl a headband. Just a simple crochet bow headband. I also made her an owl mobile as well. Must send these out soon. I have other projects I’m making for friends, I wish i had 4 more hands to make more projects at the same time.

And of course, when one project for a friend is done… I make one for our son. I promised myself that, I want to make sure I’m making things for our own son!

I ended up making a turtle shell and it turned out perfectly! I’m hoping to use this for some new born pictures. I will have to make a green hat to match, but I think it looks pretty adorable. What do you think? (Oh, I hope our son appreciates these crocheted things I make for him.)

Wow. That was a lot of things huh? :) Yeah, my life’s been rather busy these days but I never miss an opportunity to crochet. Boram is still kicking up a storm, still loves classical music and seems to kick less when the hubby’s home. I think he still wonders who could possibly be that other voice he hears so clearly! :) Silly baby, that’s your daddy!

I’m going to a breast feeding class tomorrow morning. I really hope that I’m prepared because I don’t want to use formula here in China. I feel bad but I just don’t trust it. I really hope it all works out though, really reading a lot about life after birth more than pregnancy itself.

Time to go make dinner. :) G’nite everyone… and good day to those in America. I miss you, friends!

Haha love that you swaddled him!! We took a class that had swaddling included and we were HORRIBLE at it!! Hoping Jag likes the swaddlers with velcro/zippers because that’s probably the only way he’ll ever be swaddled tightly enough, lol.

He has literally asked me to swaddle him for YEARS. LOL I finally did it and he’s satisfied. :) I think those swaddlers w/the velcro/zippers will be AMAZING. I know my friends love it!
